Alex Robinson - a Review of 4sites
4sitesnetwork will offer what initially seems like a reasonable deal for webhosting. UK based (to save those nasty conversions come checkout time) and quite cheap, you think you’re getting everything. Until you realise that the “company” is actually just some Welsh guy running things from his mother’s house.
But you can’t say that on your 4sites hosted website. You can’t say anything critical about the company or its employees at all. You know why? Because 4sites hate freedom of speech. Even if you make a good point about the quality of the host in reference to downtime, and have evidence to back up the validity of your claim, you will still get shut down as quickly as Alex Robinson can manage.
Other than being the totalitarian dictators of budget UK webhosting, the trouble I got into with slandering Alex Robinson all kicked off (both times) with my site experiencing unpredetermined and unexpected downtime. My website was offline for a considerable amount of time when I posted my angry comments. 4sites’ own unreliability forced me to make critical comments, which then forced (sort of) Alex Robinson to ban my site and delete all my original work. About 95% of it has been salvaged from archives, but it’s messy and somewhat haunting.
Anyway, to sum up, find a different web host. Honestly. The unreliability and arbitrary censorship isn’t worth the discount they offer in comparison with alternative companies.
A lot of people are leaving comments asking for any 4sites contact details I might have. The best I can do for you all is this list of probably outdated contact details:
- An old phone number I pulled from his website at the time he was hosting me: +44 870 446 7483

Dude, what’s the latest on 4sites? Cos I’ve been ripped off by Alex too, also a mate of mine (who I stupidly recommended to 4sites) has been ripped off, yet Robinson has gone completely dark and answers no attempts to contact him. ALSO, weirdly, I can find no other complaints about 4Sites on Google, though there must be hundreds or even thousands of shafted 4Sites customers out there - It can’t just be you and me and my mate, nevertheless Robinson owes us bigtime. We’ve paid him money and received NO hosting in return.

It is a fact: 4Sites are terrible! I have had nothing but problems with my website.
I can’t log in to my webmail, I can’t even log in to my website to update it! The address I was given no longer allows me to log in! Just says: ‘page not found’.
I’ve sent countless emails, phone calls, support tickets…no response! Whoever reads this - DO NOT use 4sites…
I bet when my renewal is due, I will suddenly be bombarded with emails!!!

My website went down 26 hours ago. The only contact number available (U.K.) is disconnected and the number on the Aus 4sites website is a mobile that does not belong to Alex. Very understanding gentleman on the other end however. By all accounts they parted company 1 year ago. Alex please get in contact with someone even if you have gone under!
We are a small fair trade retailer and have been looking forward to this Christmas season finally being the ‘one’ for us after 2 years getting a name for ourselves, and finally moving in to the position to pay my self something!
Would be handy if some one had a mobile number for Alex….just in case hes gone back packing somewhere!?

I too have suddenly lost my hosting and also my website…
I have not been able to contact alex either and my family use our emails to communicate with my sister-in-law who is sick in america with cancer.
This is bad
I have sent countless emails and also I have spoken to the chap in OZ.
Please can you just get in touch with us so that we can move our sites please.

4sites.com hosted my website and Alex Robinson was the person i used to speak to there. i cant reach him or anybody there. My website has gone off line and money has been taken from my credit card. I cant access my emails. What can I do???

Hello,
I two have been taken in by Alex Robinson from 4sites.com. My web site was down for well over a few weeks. I tried to contact him but nothing. I have just been recommended to use http://www.hostingclick.co.uk - I asked them a few questions via email and they replyed with in a few hours and my hosting account was set up with in another few hours before i even paid!
Hope no one else out they gets ripped off!
