“I am Iron Man”

I’m really excited about the latest Marvel film. You know, the one I slandered a few weeks ago? Well, I saw it, and it’s a fantastic piece of cinema. It was so good, that I decided to recreate one section of the story (don’t worry, it’s no more a spoiler than the title or trailer).

Iron Man

The film was really good. Go out and see it immediately. The soundtrack is also awesome. I have the opening to the theme tune stuck in my head right now.

Facebook Graffiti: I Did

I did… but what are you going to do about it? The man on the right has a little face. I don’t normally do them, but I thought I could get away with this one.

A List of Small News in Place of Real Content

Posted in Chronicles, Drawing, Personal by Will Wybrow on February 4th, 2008

I got out the digital camera this evening and snapped a page of notebook. The results can be found in the new addition to the ‘pages’ subheading in the right-hand column. It’s the gang; a few of the flat and some extras that make appearances. I need to get that second-hand scanner from one of you, so bring it around as soon as you’ve gone out and bought it for me.

The Widdipedia is off to a flying start. I don’t know what magic there is about a small-community wiki, but I don’t need to know how it works in order to realise that it works. Ever since Mark got me to spend over half an hour scribing a mock Wikipedia page on space bars, I’ve wanted my own informal joke wiki to post uncontained creativity. Now, I have one, so give it a click every now and again - it’s slowly filling up with golden content.

I’m slowly spreading out into the Graffiti application for Facebook. It’s getting a lot of time these days, only because the artwork comes digitised as soon as it’s finished. Unfortunately, mouse-dexterity isn’t the same as pen-dexterity, and digital artwork doesn’t have that nice effect that ink on paper has. I’m definitely going to go to a stationer’s sometime soon and pick up different kinds of pen to work with. So far it’s a toss up between a Goldman Sachs pen and a Pentel EnerGel one for my favourite. The Goldman Sachs free advert pen has a good all-round use, but the EnerGel is inky and does a nice flicking thing that I’ve got on my Bubble of Ignorance story (to come… bring that scanner quickly now!). It’s thick, so fine detail is a bit difficult. I had a combination going when I took two pens to lectures one week. That was nice.

The reason this stupid list has come about is that I’ve got nothing real to post. Well, I’ve got one or two lined up, but the one I was definitely going to post has been set back a while for undisclosed reasons. But it’s coming, don’t worry - nothing can stop it.

There has definitely been a creativity shift these last few days. It would be good to get a balance.
